Franklin Eaton, of Norwalk, was arrested on Tuesday, March 22 by the Bridgeport Police following a months-long investigation.
The investigation began in October 2021 after the family of a child victim received a disturbing letter alleging the child had been sexually exploited by a known person, said Scott Appleby, director of Bridgeport Emergency Management.
The victim’s family then notified the Bridgeport Police Department Special Victims Unit which commenced an extensive investigation into multiple perpetrators, Appleby said.
Eaton, whose age was not released, was charged with:
- Possession of child pornography
- Sexual assault
- Risk of injury (two counts)
A court-set bond of $100,000 was imposed.
Additional arrests are anticipated in this case, Appleby said.
